Frequently asked questions

Can the 6 million funds invested in Taiwan be transferred?
Answer: Yes. After the Investment Review Committee completes the fund review, the funds can be used to purchase the company's equipment and expenses.
Can I directly invest in an existing Taiwanese company?
Answer: Yes. However, you need to have a clear understanding of the company's background and operating conditions. Because some companies may be blacklisted, it takes time to investigate, which affects the approval time.
Can I work locally with my residency?
Answer: You are only allowed to manage your own company's business and cannot work for other companies.
When can the 6 million funds be withdrawn?
Answer: After you have settled in Taiwan for 11 months and obtained your Taiwan ID card, you can take it back when you terminate your company.
Are there any performance requirements for the company’s operations?
Answer: Not yet, but zero performance is not recommended, as it will affect future applications for naturalization.
How long does the entire application process take? Including the process of opening a company?
A: The entire process takes about 2-3 months, depending on the government's approval progress at that time.
